A Penny For Your Thoughts
I feel like I am going through a time of transition which has me really scrutinizing the way I've been doing things.
I absolutely LOVE helping people buy and sell real estate, but I realize that's not all I was put here to do. My mission statement sheds insight into what I truly believe my purpose is:
"To enhance the lives of my clients as well as enrich my community, taking great care to provide my time, loyalty, and talents to both."
Achieving this means balancing my time and energy in a number of different ways, while executing all that I do with purpose. The reasoning behind it all? To take on a different approach to how my presence makes a true and lasting impact. Anybody can spend their time selling homes, going from one escrow to the other, with little or no impact to their clients or community. That's not who I choose to be. I want to change lives. I want to lead with legacy.
I've done a little of this with the launch of my vlog, Lincoln Live, which highlights community members, businesses, and non-profits who serve my community. Lincoln Live gives people a platform on which to tell their story in the hopes that they can achieve more with a larger audience. You can see what I'm referring to by clickinghere.
However, this is just the beginning. I want to center my day around how I can make the most impact to others as well as my community. That is true purpose. Selling real estate will simply be the vessel that helps me accomplish this.
I didn't get here overnight. When I first began my journey into real estate, I did salesy things. I tried door-knocking. I sent out postcards to strangers. Heck, I may have even called you after you clicked on a house you found on the web. That's the way I believed I was supposed to spend my time, and what I thought I had to do to be successful.
Never again will I door-knock, send out self-promotional postcards, or do anything to promote myself or my business. It's not about that at all. It's about screaming from the rooftop about how great the people around me are and how lucky we are to live in one of the most amazing places on earth. It's about helping those who need it when they need it the most. It's about enhancing the lives of those around me and helping them to see that they DESERVE IT until they learn to settle for nothing less.
If my message resonates with you, I'd love to know about it. Write me back and tell me what you think. We all go through times in our lives of self-reflection and growth, and you may be going through something similar. Let's go through it together and learn from one another, as we continue our journey to making our world a better place!
