A home buyer sees a home they love! They want to make an offer and know they need to get pre-qualified beforehand. They call one of those 1-800's numbers on TV, get pre-approved and make an offer. Not too many communication happens between buyer and lender/officer. A few days before closing, buyer get a closing cost statement. WHAT?!?! THAT much????? Those horrible situations that may have been averted with better communication between parties involved. You usually get better service with a local loan officer than a huge corporation where you are just a case number. There are pros and cons for using big corporation lenders but for a better service, a good and diligent officer will be there to answer any questions and keep you informed of any fees or cost that will come through.
